Linda D’Onofrio MS, CCC-SLP

For more than 20 years I've owned a private practice in Portland Oregon, focusing in craniofacial disorders, oromyofunctional disorders, feeding disorders and dysphagia, and sensory-motor speech disorders. I completed my Masters at the University of Oregon, my medical externship at the Oregon Health Sciences University Medical Center with a focus on inpatient neurological acute care and outpatient cognitive rehabilitation, and I completed my clinical fellowship at the Oregon VA Medical Center with a focus on dysphagia, aphasia, brain injury, and oral cancer. My paper, Oral Dysfunction as a Cause of Malocclusion has twice been awarded most downloaded research paper for Orthodontics and Craniofacial Journal. I have participated on a local craniofacial team and on a local sleep neurology team. I have reviewed manuscripts for the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation and Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica. I is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, a past president of the Oregon Speech-Language Hearing Association, and I have lectured on oral physiology at several dental and orthodontic programs, including Stanford, Tufts, and the Vienna School for Interdisciplinary Dentistry.

Linda’s courses are filled with valuable information and real-life application. Each course is jam packed with content and I loved how there was a case study tying each one together. Linda is a dynamic and engaging presenter. These courses were time and money well spent!

Collaboration and patient care with Linda D’Onofrio has been fun and informative! I highly recommend her class to all my colleagues in the dental and ENT field! Her focus is on the impact of oral function such as chewing and swallowing on oral development, occlusion, smile, facial pain, etc. She’s also armed with a nice collection of relevant research if anyone is interested!

I am lucky enough to have attended all of Linda's OMD courses and each one was phenomenal! Each class was filled with valuable information including the evidence base, implications across the lifespan, case study examples, and videos. I came away with a better understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and function of the face, tongue, and oral cavity.

I can't tell you how much Linda has inspired, motivated, and educated me on oromyofunctional speech disorders. These courses are just fantastic. Thank you Linda from the bottom of my heart for sharing this and inspiring me to jump further into this area of speech pathology.
